| Helen passes Grade 8 Piano |
Congratulations
to Helen Rennie who passed Grade 8 on the piano at the tender
age of 18 last Summer. It all started when she was 9 (before
she started working at AGM!). Not content with just the piano
she also took up the flute at the age of 10 and reached Grade
6. Helen has played her flute in various orchestras both locally
and abroad in Amsterdam, as well as in a quartet. You might
have heard or seen her at Marks and Spencer at Handforth Dean
one Christmas. Armed with her Grade 8 Helen is able to teach
the piano. So please contact
her if you would like some lessons.
Helen works in the Child
Abuse Department as a generic paralegal.

cares for the terminally ill. The star prize was a DVD player
donated from the Digital Dictation prize collection. We also raised
a further £78.20 when Poynton did a “wear your own clothes

| Paul & England Wins Silver in European
Water Ski Championship. |
Congratulations to Paul
McDonald and the England team for winning the silver medal
in the European Senior Championships held in Mossaic France
last week.
Paul jumped
33.4 metres to win the silver medal in the jump competition.
He got into the final of the slalom competition with a score
of 4 buoys at 13 metre line length. An American won the event
witha score of 2 buoys at 10.75 metre line length. This is quite
an achievement when one considers that the actual distance from
the boat to the buoy is 11.75 metres.
Germany won the Gold Medal, but the honour of second position
for the England Team was an achievement when one considers that
22 teams from all over the world took part. |
