BAILLI - the new legal database which is planned to be a national source of legal material. It has been helped to come to fruition by the Barrister Laurie Wests-Knight, and has been inspired by the Australian model. We are way behind both of our commonwealth cousins. This site will grow daily into a massive resource. It has a very good search engine. Even though the database is not complete, a word search on "child abuse" produced many hits.

Delia Venables Web Site it has an amazing source of links to any type of website of any interest to lawyers and the public. It is an essential starting point for any type of legal information. It has a list of all the solicitors web sites, government web sites, information services etc. Abney Garsden McDonald are listed.

Association of Child Abuse Lawyers - An organisation founded by Peter Garsden and hosted by him. They are dedicated to  providing practical support for Lawyers and other professionals working for adults & children who have been abused

The Law Society This site contains many useful pieces of information about solicitors. There is a section devoted to consumers. It recently had an overhaul and is quite attractive visually

Voice UK provide advice and practical help on legal matters related to survivors with learning difficulties.

Community Legal Service - Just Ask! is the website of the Community Legal Service (CLS). The CLS aims to ensure that people in England and Wales can get impartial information and advice about their legal rights and help with enforcing them. The site is published in a range of languages to ensure access to the whole community.

 

Citizen's Advice Bureau - Adviceguide provides information on your rights, including benefits, housing and employment, and on debt, consumer and legal issues. Developed by Citizens Advice, the independent advice, policy and campaigning charity, you can get information specific to all four UK countries.

Child Line  Colourful and child friendly describes this site - it contains the usual contact but an abundance of articles and information upon all children issues and child abuse.

NSPCC A pleasant site to view with vibrant colours - find out all about their excellent campaign on child abuse

Survivors on the Net - A very full site with a chat line, newsletter and many contact points for survivors of childhood abuse. It seems very " user friendly" with a pleasant interface for those going through trauma. The organisation has been in existence since 1995

Abuse Recovery UK - Another site for the male and female survivors of childhood abuse

Survivors UK - they have been in existence for over 10 Years and specialise in helping the victims of male rape. They are a London based organisation with a help line. There is a very useful reading list with reviews of publications on the subject. The site is fast and also contains links to other sites

Bully Online - An amazing source of information on Bullying. There is nothing that you could conceivably think of on the subject that isn't there. There are even case reports of quantum assessments on "bullying" or "stress at work" cases as we like to know them. An excellent source of reference for any lawyers who are asked to do a case on this subject. The opening line is very telling - "Half the population are bullied ... most only realise it when they read this"

Adoption-net is a site designed to assist those involved in adoption.
