Investors
in People (IIP) is a voluntary assessment scheme
backed by the UK Department for Education and
Skills. IiP was developed in 1993 through a partnership
of businesses and other national organisations.
The scheme aims to improve organisational performance
through better planning, implementation and evaluation
of learning and development programmes, across
organisations of all sizes and sectors. Organisations
who receive the award are subject to reviews,
normally every 3 years to check that they are
still meeting the required standard.
In 1997 Abney Garsden McDonald was the first firm of solicitors in South and East Cheshire and the Stockport area to be awarded an Investors in People Certificate.
Our Award
was renewed in October 2007 for the 4th time.
The award was presented by Mark Hunter the Liberal
Democrate MP for Cheadle Hulme ward. Pictures
of the event can be seen in our News
