Position: Group Co-ordinating Solicitor, Child Abuse Department, Cheadle Hulme Office

Deborah is in charge of a number of children's home group actions, which the department  is co-ordinating. 
She also organises the  recruitment and appraisal of the paralegals/trainees within the child abuse team.
Deborah hails from Leigh, Lancashire, and obtained her degree at  Plymouth Polytechnic. She did her conversion course and solicitor's finals in Manchester, where she continued  her career working for a Union. Subsequently she taught English in the North of Spain before working for 2 North West Legal Firms, and arrived  in the department in 1998.  Her interests are Foreign Travel, reading, music and socialising. Deborah shares responsibility for trainees and paralegals with Paul Durkin. Deborah is in charge of a number of group actions.

Paul Durkin

Position: Group Co-ordinating Solicitor - Child Abuse Department, Cheadle Hulme Office. 

Paul comes from Huddersfield and obtained his degree from the University of Kent at Canterbury. He has a varied background in the law. He has a special interest in Social Welfare Law and the rights of the individual. He has a diploma in Personal Injury Law and is an accredited senior litigator by APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers). He has worked in the voluntary sector for a Law Centre. He remains active as the legal advisor and manager at Hope Hospital Citizens Advice Bureau.  Paul shares responsibility for trainees and paralegals with  Deborah Corcoran. He leads a number of group actions.

Paul has a diploma in Personal Injury Law and is an accredited senior litigator by APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers)
