St John's Junior Football Club, members of the Timperley and District Junior Football League, were left bitterly disapointed last week when they lost the League Cup Final to Sale Utd. The final score was 1-0 to Sale Utd.

It's a sad end for the team who are disbanding after 10 years together as the team members go off to university and to pursue careers. ST John’s JFC was started in 1998 as a club for youngsters in the parish of St John’s, Chorlton who attended St John’s RC Primary School.

Their sponsors Abney Garsden McDonald solicitors who have backed the club since the beginning of 2007 wish the boys luck in the future.
