Christmas Charity Raffle 2007 |
|||||||||||||||
This
years Christmas raffle, organised by the staff at Abney Garsden McDonald
took place in our offices on Thursday 19th December. The recipient of
this years proceeds will be The
Lantern Project a Merseyside based organisation which was set up
to provide care, support and information for victims of childhood sexual
abuse, domestic violence, racial abuse and bullying in Wirral and Merseyside,
to help them improve their lives and the lives of their families. The
total amount raised was £130.45.
Prizes were varied with kind donations from local businesses including Krusty's sandwich and Alternatives sandwich shops based in Cheadle Hulme, Bags of Fun of Macclesfield, Weatherspoons, Olive Press and The Brasserie Restaraunt in Altrincham. Thanks also goes to our staff who brought in additional prizes. The Lantern Project is our nominated charity for 2008 and will be the focus of any further fund raising activity we undertake as a firm. This is part of a new initiative where we will nominate a different charity each year. Alongside the proceeds from the raffle will be a donation of £250 made by AGM as an alternative to the sending of Christmas cards, this making a grand total of £380.45. |
