For Amanda

Tragically, on 23rd September 2007 Amanda Withey, niece of Abney's Managing Partner, Peter Garsden died of a brain tumour, leaving her family and friends devastated. Amanda's friend, Clare Humphries remembers Amanda as "a caring, fun loving, unique and wonderful 22 year old."

On Saturday November 3rd as part of the 'Walk Around the World' event, more than 40 of Amanda's friends and family walked from her family home in Chadderton, Oldham along the Rochdale Canal to Hollingworth Lake in Littleborough to raise money for the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust.

Peter Garsden along with his wife and daughter managed to raise £600 for the cause so congratulations to them and all the others who took part.
