ACAL(Association of Child Abuse Lawyers)-
The Association of Child Abuse Lawyers is a company limited by guarantee set up for the benefit of lawyers, experts and other professionals involved in the field of obtaining compensation for the physical, sexual or emotional abuse of children and adults abused in childhood. ACAL holds a national database of solicitors working for abuse survivors. All solicitors on ACAL’s database are required to have undergone appropriate training. The ACAL website is an excellent source of legal information and cases and contains relevant updated news items.
Adoption-net-
is a site designed to assist those involved in adoption. To quote "Adoption-net aims to providea wealth of information for anyone thinking about adopting or fostering a child or is currently going through the process of becoming an adoptive parent or foster carer. It is our mission to remove some of the myths and stigmas that surround modern-day adoptions and we hope this site will encourage more people to consider themselves as having something to offer these children."
Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL)-
The association of Personal Injury Lawyers is a professional body for lawyers working with victims of Accidents and Clinical Negligence. Over 5,000 solicitors and barristers work with the association to fight for law reform to improve access to justice. Although APIL cannot offer legal advice or guidance they may be able to point you in the right direction.

BAILLI-
the new legal database which is planned to be a national source of legal material. It has been helped to come to fruition by the Barrister Laurie Wests-Knight, and has been inspired by the Australian model. We are way behind both of our commonwealth cousins. This site will grow daily into a massive resource. It has a very good search engine. Even though the database is not complete, a word search on "child abuse" produced many hits.
Bully Online-
An amazing source of information on Bullying. There is nothing that you could conceivably think of on the subject that isn't there. There are even case reports of quantum assessments on "bullying" or "stress at work" cases as we like to know them. An excellent source of reference for any lawyers who are asked to do a case on this subject. The opening line is very telling - "Half the population are bullied ... most only realise it when they read this"

Adviceguide provides information on your rights, including benefits, housing and employment, and on debt, consumer and legal issues. Developed by Citizens Advice, the independent advice, policy and campaigning charity, you can get information specific to all four UK countries.

it has an amazing source of links to any type of website of any interest to lawyers and the public. It is an essential starting point for any type of legal information. It has a list of all the solicitors web sites, government web sites, information services etc. Abney Garsden McDonald are listed.

Irish Survivors-
A site set up by Abney Garsden McDonald solicitors, for the purposes of helping clients make a claim to the Irish Redress Board, which has now closed. The Redress Board was created to provide compensation to the survivors of abuse in certain institutions within the Republic of Ireland.

National Society for Children and Family Contact-
The NSCFC believes that the needs of children and society as a whole are best served where children benefit from the love and support of both parents: because "today’s child is tomorrow’s parent". They can provide public funding (formerly known as "legal aid"), subject to means and legal tests, for survivors of abuse to pursue civil compensation claims
The Times-
A free copy of the Newspaper appears daily. Although it does not have a word search facility there is a list of contents every day to enable you to look for an article you like - they also keep all back editions - you need to know what day the article appeared however
