| Membership of Multi-Party Action Panel (January 9, 2003) |
Abney Garsden McDonald have been admitted to the prestigious Multi-Party Action Panel, which comprises a handful of specialised solicitors throughout the country, who are deemed experienced in Group Actions. Thus they are authorised and qualified to lead group action claims and advise other solicitors.
A Group Action is an action based upon common issues of fact or law where a group of individuals have broadly similar claims which are pursued together. Over the years there have been many examples deriving from disasters such as the Hillsborough Disaster in Sheffield football stadium, the Manchester Air Crash etc.
Abney Garsden McDonald have built up a speciality and reputation for its child abuse work, and now lead about 20 Children's Home Group Actions. That speciality and quality of service has been recognised now by appointing them to the panel of solicitors authorised to conduct Multi-Party Litigation. |
